SUNDAY 10.30am-1.30pm
Join Sharon Richardson of Flock Fibre Crafts for a playful and hands-on felting workshop where the iconic Full English Breakfast is reimagined in wool. Guided by an experienced textile Artist, you’ll explore the basics of needle while creating a plate piled high with classic favourites – think golden fried eggs, sizzling sausages, rashers of bacon, toast, tomatoes, and mushrooms.
The workshop begins with a friendly introduction to the tools and fibres, before you dive into shaping and blending natural wools to capture the textures and colours of each breakfast item. Step by step, the tutor will show you how to bring character and detail into your creations – from the soft gleam of an egg yolk to the crispy edge of bacon.
No prior experience is needed, but suitable for all skill levels, all materials are provided. Depending on how quickly you work, you may not complete every item during the session. But don’t worry – you’ll leave with the knowledge, confidence, and supplies to finish your woolly breakfast at home.
By the end, you’ll have a unique, calorie-free plate of comfort food to treasure or gift. Come for the craft, stay for the laughter, and leave with a deliciously creative project to continue.
Sharon studied Fine Art and Textiles at university and has been a fibre enthusiast ever since. After years as a textile artist and teacher, having taken a break, she’s returned to her creative roots in retirement, sharing her skills with warmth and humour. For Sharon, felting isn’t just about craft – it’s a calming, mindful technique that melts away stress and brings joy to busy lives. She believes creativity should be fun, a little experimental, and never taken too seriously. Expect gentle guidance, plenty of encouragement, and a teacher who celebrates every quirky egg or wobbly sausage you make.
