This workshop is suitable for both absolute beginners and improvers with a choice of animals to make. You will learn how to sculpt wool using the needle felting technique, create a 3D shape, attach parts, colour and personality to bring your woodland fox, badger or hare to life. Improving mood and cognitive function are just a few of the ways that felting can improve your wellbeing. Best of all, you don’t need any particular artistic talent and, because it’s fun, you can felt your way to to a healthier, happier lifestyle.


Marion Carbis is a textile artist specialising in 3D sculpture and has been sharing her needle felting skills at workshops in West Cornwall for the last 5 years .  Made in Cornwall approved, her sculptures are hand-crafted from various breeds of sheep wool.  Specialising in animal themes they range in size from 3 inches to 3 feet.  Sometimes serious, and sometimes humourous, bespoke commissions are available, all reflecting a quirky style and ‘Designed to make you smile’.
