Learn how to knit using magic loop: a fantastic way to knit in the round for any size of circumference. We will be casting-on and setting-up our stitches for magic loop knitting, and making a small notions pouch. Learn to work stocking stitch and garter stitch in magic loop and also how to fix common mistakes, such as laddering, increasing stitches accidentally, and twisting your work, as well as other magic loop trouble shooting.
Level: Beginner/Intermediate (Some knowledge of knitting in the round, either
on double pointed needles or with a small-circumference circular needle, is useful but not essential)
What to bring: 5mm / 80cm or 100cm circular needle, 50g aran weight yarn
Maddie Harvey is a workshop tutor and knitwear designer, living and working in Edinburgh, UK. A former primary school teacher, she loves investigating colour combinations and textures in her design work. Maddie is a strong advocate of experimenting with knitting and using the process of swatching as a way to investigate stitches, and free-up the knitting process.
