SUNDAY 76TH NOVEMBER, 1-2.30pm
Winning Post Room, Newton Abbot Racecourse
Filet crochet is a technique which creates a pattern or picture using open boxes as a background and solid blocks of stitches to make the pattern. In this workshop you will learn to make the solid blocks and open mesh to create a basic pattern and how to work from a filet chart.
FILET CROCHET USES BASIC CROCHET STITCHES OF TREBLE AND CHAIN SO YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE BASIC CROCHET SKILLS FOR THIS WORKSHOP.
Traditionally filet was worked using fine crochet yarn, but in this workshop we will be using DK yarn. Practice materials will be provided and crochet hooks are available to borrow. If you'd prefer to bring your own hook, please bring a 4mm hook.
