Fibre Quest Accessibility
Fibre Quest takes place on a working farm high on the Mendip Hills.
We hope this event will be accessible to all, however there are some
important factors to take into account before you visit.
Regular parking is in a field adjacent to the show site. This is fine for all vehicles but maybe slightly uneven ground. We recommend sturdy footwear such as walking boots, trainers or wellies.
Disabled parking is available for blue badge holders. Please show your blue badge to our stewards on arrival and they will show you where to park.
Getting around the show
The show is mainly on level ground and is ok for wheelchairs, however
the yard in which the show is sited is compacted stone, not loose gravel.
Again we reiterate the recommendation of comfortable, sturdy footwear.
Weather & what to wear
The farm is at 800ft and the weather up here can be inclement.
Umbrellas are definitely not recommended in the wind! Please wear warm clothes and bring a waterproof if rain is forecast.
(We've ordered sunshine but it's not always delivered on time!)
The marquees are heated and we have a few toasty places you can warm up, but some of your visit will be moving between various buildings.
We have a cafe serving hot drinks, light lunches and cake all day!
There is no public wifi available though 4G should usually work and phone signal is generally ok depending on your network.
